Foster Care Providers
donate their time and resources in the rescue and rehabilitation of
animals that are temporary residents of Indian Creek Sanctuary. In return, expenses incurred
by the providers in
connection with the care and maintenance of Indian Creek Sanctuary
animals are eligible for a tax deduction under the most generous non-profit
status of 501(c)(3).
In addition, all qualified Foster Care Providers are given first
opportunity to adopt animals in their care above
all other applicants.
HORSES
Foster Care Providers are responsible for the daily maintenance and
care of the horse(s), which includes, feeding, watering, and maintenance
of stall(s) and fencing. Foster Care Providers are also responsible
for hoof /dental care, yearly vaccinations, bi-monthly wormings, and
ensuring timely veterinarian care in the event the need arises.
Indian Creek Sanctuary will allow foster families to board their fostered equines;
however, Indian Creek Sanctuary can not reimburse the foster families for boarding fees
either.
DOGS
CATS
OTHER CRITTERS
Qualified Foster Care Providers should not be shy about requesting
donations, since the quality of life and well-being of an animal in your
care may depend on it. It is one reason Indian Creek Sanctuary was created--
to afford concerned community members an opportunity to contribute to
animals in need and to have control of where their donations
are going.
Individuals interested in being considered must have, at a minimum,
the following:
1. 18 Years of Age;
2. Have At Least 2 Years Experience Caring For A Horse;
3. Property Zoned For Horses with Proper Horse Facilities
4. Never Been Charged With Or Convicted Of Cruelty or Abuse Charges
Of Any Nature Or Kind.
5. Vet Reference Letter (click to copy letter).
Once your reference letter and application are completed, Indian Creek Sanctuary
will contact you to inspect your facility to verify that it is safe
and meets our guidelines. Once this is complete, you may begin
fostering animals. Foster homes will not be asked to take on any
animals or problems they are not comfortable with.
Still Interested? Then please complete and submit your Foster Care
Application now! You can make a difference in a animal's life.
